This decor item represents Lord Ganesha Sitting on Chariot and mouse Pulling. It is said that the contradiction between the heaviness of the elephant and the lightness of the rat is an illustration of Ganesh's role as one who brings about unity and harmony. Lord Ganesha with a mouse is able to go into nooks and corners of the world and do his job as the Destroyer of Obstacles because his vehicle is a mouse, which basically can slither through tiny holes and narrow pathways, even in the darkness of night. The broken tusk that Ganesha holds like a pen in his lower right hand is a symbol of sacrifice, which he broke for writing the Mahabharata. The rosary in his other hand suggests that the pursuit of knowledge should be continuous. The laddoo (sweet) he holds in his trunk indicates that one must discover the sweetness of the Atman. He is the Lord of success and destroyer of evils and obstacles.
